A series of awkward passages and chokes gives way to a series of very tall rift passages, with many impressive stalactite formations. The cave is dominated by a large chamber named The Frozen Deep, which was discovered in 2012. The chamber is 71 m long, between 40 and 79 m wide, up to 52 m high, with an area of 2981 square metres, and a volume of 39328 cubic metres. It is the largest chamber in Britain in terms of area, but holds second place in terms of volume, after the Gaping Gill Main Chamber.
