Cave details
The first, and currently only, major cave in the North York Moors. Short pitches drop to a large chamber, followed by an extensive inlet series, and a large main streamway. Several areas have admirable formations. The exact length is not currently known, but is estimated to be between 1 and 2 km. The length quoted on this site is a compromise, and will be updated when more accurate details become available. Discovered in late 2007, the cave is still being actively explored, and general access is not currently permitted.
