Desmond Cave (Mitchelstown Old Cave)

An entrance pitch landing on a steeply sloping cone of boulders, with passages leading into three chambers. One of the chambers contains a very deep sump. The sump is known to be 42 metres deep, while the depth of the dry cave is estimated to be at least 18 metres, probably more. An old description and survey are available online.
