Ogof Craig A Ffynnon

Cave details

Length:
13 km
Vertical range:
115 m
Region:
South Wales

A cave best known for its almost continuous and very impressive decorations as well as its large passages. Access to the cave is only granted to bona fide cavers and is controlled by Grwp Ogofydd Craig A Ffynnon. The cave is generally very easy with only a few crawls to reach the early sections. A more lengthy crawl is required to reach the further reaches of the cave. This section has similar large passages and less areas of decorations but is still worth a visit.

The length of the cave is sometimes incorrectly quoted as 8000 metres, but this is thought to be confusion between miles and km (8 miles is about 12.8 km).
